Advantages

Bierkreek is the only certified organic rose nursery in The Netherlands (EKO) and the second in the world! For twelve years Bierkreek has been a leader in growing roses using environmentally friendly techniques.

Our organic roses are grafted onto strong rootstocks such as R. canina, “Smidts Ideal”, and R. rubiginosa. These varieties are disease resistant, hardy and durable.
Bierkreek has a “HIER” certification which means it is climate neutral. There is no need for CO2 compensation.

Because Bierkreek has continued to be a leader in organic rose growing they are always up to date with the latest techniques.    Currently we are growing over 2000 different varieties of roses in small quantities of each. These are available in winter (October to April) as bare root roses and the rest of the year as container roses. Our normal pot size is 5.5 liters.  We also supply roses in larger, 10 liter, pots. If you need a different pot size we can accommodate you.   We also accommodate custom orders. You will be helped in a friendly manner, we label the roses according to your wishes and we can also supply smaller amounts.

Through a global rose exchange network with other colleagues, we now offer a wide variety of roses from Antique to Modern among our 2000 different cultivars. Groups such as Albas, Moss Roses, Centifolias, Portlands, Hybrid Tea, Floribundas Polyanthas, Miniature are just among the few we offer. This also includes an extensive collection of climbing and rambling roses.

You will also find roses from some of the great Rose Breeders such as Tantau, Kordes, Lens, Barni, Fryer and Harkness. Rose Breeders from America such as Kim Rupert, Mike Lowe, Ralph Moore are available from us. Sean McCann from Ireland and Rolf Sievers from Sweden have also found a home here at Bierkreek. We are also proud to have the world’s largest collection of Geschwind Roses.
